Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association (OMAHA)
OMAHA fosters, improves and encourages amateur hockey, sportsmanship and good citizenship in the Okanagan Mainline District in the Province of British Columbia. It assists with the formation of leagues and organizes league competition within the Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association District.
OMAHA establishes, maintains and assists in the general care, supervision and direction of all minor associations and leagues who are members of this Association; and assists all others interested in amateur hockey. We provide guidance and formulate an effective hockey program. OMAHA maintains a uniform set of playing rules as laid down by the Canadian Hockey Association, and amendments covered by the British Columbia Amateur Hockey Association, or covered by the Okanagan Mainline Amateur Hockey Association.
OMAHA publishes their Constitution, By-Laws and Regulations (pdf) ("Green Book") each year. This book contains information on the OMAHA constitution, by-laws, and regulations along with other information on the various member associations.
The OMAHA Policy Manual (pdf) contains all OMAHA policies as they apply to member associations. Details for policy enforcement are included.
